Hello! I’m Quentin Penn-Hollar. I call Richmond home now, but grew up in the mountains of Madison County, VA and honed my photography skills living in New York City.
I became more than a point-and-shoot photographer when my uncle, Madison County photographer John Berry (www.johnberryphotography.com), “loaned” me one of his back-up cameras. He never got that camera back (don’t worry, he’s okay with it).
At the time, I lived in New York City. I spent a lot of time wandering the streets shooting tall buildings, street musicians, and all the other strange, but photogenic things you run into in the Big Apple.
When I’m not looking through a tiny, glass square I’m hanging out at my favorite Richmond restaurants and breweries, watching football, drinking ice coffee, or sitting on my deck with my wife, Bonnie, and our smart, little pit bull pup.
